About

Hiya! I'm Faerieko. (Faerie-koh!) I'm a Filipino-American graphic designer, illustrator and pixel artist.

I’m currently a freelancer exhibiting at pop culture conventions and other specialty events. I’m also the co-founder to the indie apparel brand: Studio Nekomata, a design studio committed to creating, sharing, and promoting original artwork that is LGBTQ-positive and LGBTQ-created with a special focus on art for and by queer women. Working with fellow artists Lexiiii and Dakuma, Studio Nekomata has been present at events such as Flamecon 2019 and Anime Expo 2022. You can find out more about it and our store here!

Beyond my small business, I have a passion for video games! I’m working in game development for a couple visual novels, and I’m always eager to learn about any other projects I can participate in. Currently, I work alongside Studio Élan a video game development studio with a focus on sapphic visual novels.

My personal interests lies in things like plant care, crafts, keeping up with the indie games scene, character design, good story-telling — especially through the form of books and video games! I believe in the importance of everything from the characters, to world-building, and ultimately how these stories can bring a sense of relatability to ourselves and the world around us. It’s certainly affected how I approach life and my own work. You will almost always find me indulging in my latest interests during my free time and I’m always happy to talk about them!
